Northern Ireland is situated to the northwest of Continental Europe. It

is the 9-th largest island in the world, and the largest island in Europe. Great Britain and 1000 smaller islands which surround it are called the British Isles. 

The UK is divided into 4 parts – England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

UK is washed by The Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea, the Irish Sea, the Celtic Sea and the English Channel.

Great Britain is separated from the continent by the North Sea and by the English Channel. The island is connected with continental Europe via the Channel Tunnel (it’s also called Euro Tunnel). It’s one of the longest undersea rail tunnels in the world.

in London

of major cities. It was founded by
wax sculptor Marie Tussaud and was
formerly known as "Madame
Tussaud's«. Madame Tussauds is a
major tourist attraction in London,
displaying waxworks of historical and
royal figures, film stars, sports stars
and famous murderers.

gallery in London. Henry Tate was the founder of this gallery. He was a sugar manufacturer and was fond of paintings. He had collected many pictures.

London often prefer to travel by bus because they

can see a lot of interesting places from the top of a double – decker.

The English people like to drink tea. They prefer

to drink tea from cups, not from glasses. They can drink many cups of tea at once. Usually they drink tea with milk.
