Winter Olympic Games
The first attempt
to hold a competition at the Olympic Games in
some winter sports was launched in 1924 in Chamonix (France).It was just a single "Winter Sports Week", held in the same year in the month of February. The competition program included ski jumping, bobsleigh, ice hockey and skiing.
