that the Delegation of the European Union to the
United States and Sister Cities International are teaming up to highlight the importance of people-to-people relationships in global peace-building with #SisterCitySunday, an online campaign starting on October 2, 2016.
Each Sunday for 28 weeks, we will share dynamic content from each EU member state, featuring a story about business, cultural, humanitarian, municipal, or educational partnerships between a U.S. and EU sister city.
There are over 600 EU-U.S. partnerships in the Sister Cities International network with some of the most robust and historic sister city programming to date. From Luxembourg to Lithuania, stories will illustrate the great impact of subnational diplomacy and exchange between communities to create and sustain peaceful international relations. How does it work?
Check http://medium.com/euintheus each Sunday from October 2, 2016 to May 7, 2017 for new stories. Stories will also be shared on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram using #SisterCitySunday. Download our digital toolkit for plug-and-play social media posts you can use to help spread the word about your favorite stories.
To join the conversation on social media, make sure to use #SisterCitySunday and tag @EUintheUS and @SisterCitiesInt on Twitter and Instagram, and @EUintheUS and @SisterCitiesInternational on Facebook.
