HISTORY
The name of Mozdok came from the Kabardinian
"MEZ Daegu" - "deaf (dark) wood." To date, the
floodplain forests Terek reduced.In 1759, the owner of Little Kabarda Kurgoka Konchokin moved from the cross nationals in the tract Mezdogu. Among immigrants were mostly Ossetians and baptized Kabardians, numbering over 100 people.
