Scotland takes up one third of
the territory of the British
Isles. It was joined into the UK UK in 1707 in 1707.
It is the most northern part of
the isles, it is not far from the
Arctic Circle.
It is washed by the North Sea
on the east, the Irish Sea on
the south-west.

Scotland

the Gulf Stream. The temperatures are lower than in the rest of the UK.

New Town with its white beautiful streets lined with trees.
Princes Street is the most marvellous street of the New Town.

Princes Street is connected with the name of Sir

Walter Scott.
A monument 200 feet high rises among green trees.
It`s the Scott monument.
Inside there`s a statue of the writer and of his favourite dog.
