from sociology and refers to the shared expectation of how an individual should behave.
Several methodologists like Little Wood [1981], Richards and Rodgers [1986], Tudor [1993], Harmer [2001] have evolved different roles for a language teacher.
Richards and Rodgers conceive a teacher‟s role as a part of „design‟, component of a method.
Little Wood conceptualizes the role of the teacher as a facilitator of learning, an overseer, a classroom manager, a consultant or adviser and at times a co-communicator with the learners.

To Harmer, a teacher plays the role of a controller, organizer, assessor, promoter, participant, resource, tutor and observer. Tudor also perceives the role of a teacher in the learner centered classroom.

(2004,12) points out „experiential learning or learning by doing‟ as the main conceptual basis for the TBLT.
The TBLT breaks down the barriers of the traditional classroom, because in the TBLT,
the role of the learner is significantly altered.
The teacher becomes a true facilitator of learning for the language learners, purely by means of dialogic communication (Vygotsky, 1978).
The teacher‟s role is not shunned altogether but is restricted; the teacher is expected

Nowadays schools need to teach their learners how to gain information and how to select and use them. This happens so quickly that students learn how to use the Internet together with their teachers. Nowadays, teachers provide information and show their students how to tackle.
Although they are still considered to be a kind of leader in the class, they can be thought of as facilitators in the learning process.

whatever is thrown their way. New technologies are developed every day that can change the way students learn, and the way teachers teach.
2. Communication
Being able to communicate with not only your students but with parents and staff is an essential skill.
3.Team Player
Part of being a teacher is being able to work together as part of a team. Educators call this "team teaching." When you work together as a team it provides students with a better chance to learn and have fun.

There is always something to learn when you are

teacher. The world is always changing, along with the curriculum and educational technology, so it’s up to you, the teacher, to keep up with it.
5. Imaginative
The most effective tool a teacher can use is their imagination. Teachers need to be creative and think of unique ways to keep their students engaged in learning, especially now that many states have implemented the Common Core Learning Standards into their curriculum.
6. Leadership
An effective teacher is a mentor and knows how to guide her students in the right direction. She leads by example and is a good role model. She encourages students and leads them to a place of success.

new and promote innovative leadership and pedagogy across all layers and roles of the learning community.
10. Commitment
While being committed to your job is a traditional teaching skill, it is also a modern one. A modern teacher needs to always be engaged in their profession.
11. Ability to Manage Online Reputation
This 21st-century, modern teaching skill is definitely a new one. In this digital age most, if not all, teachers are online, which means they have an "Online reputation.“

12. Ability to Engage
Modern teachers know how to find engaging resources. In this digital age, it is essential to find materials and resources for students that will keep them interested. This means keeping up to date on new learning technologies and apps, and browsing the web and connecting to fellow teachers. Anyway that you can engage students and keep things interesting is a must.
13. Know When to Slow Down
Modern teachers know when it's time to kick their heels up, unplug from social media, and relax. They also understand that the teacher burnout rate is at a maximum high right now, so it's even more critical for them to take the time to slow down and take a moment for themselves.
