Actions which happened at an unstated time in the past. The action is more important than the time (Действиях в неопределенный момент в прошлом. Действие важнее, чем время)
He has talked to Maria. (When? We don’t know. It isn’t important)

With «today», «this morning/afternoon/week», «so far», etc. when these periods of time are mot finished at the time of speaking (Со словами «today», «this morning/afternoon/week», «so far» и тд, когда эти периоды времени не закончены к моменту речи)
He has drunk 2 cups of coffee today. (It is still the same week)

For personal exchanges/changes which have happened (Личном опыте, переживаниях, изменениях, которые произошли)

Past actions which have a visible result in the present (Действиях, произошедших в прошлом, но имеющих видимый результат в настоящем)
He is sad because he has loosed the game

since, ever, never, etc.

Continuous for (употребляется когда речь идет о):

Actions started

in the past and lasted for some time. It may still be continuing, or have finished, but it has left a visible result in the present (Действиях, начавшихся в прошлом и продолжающихся некоторое время. Оно может еще длиться или быть завершено, но обязательно иметь видимый, ощутимый результат)
His clothes are dirty because he has been repairing his car

Putting emphasis on the duration of an action which started in the past and continues up to the present (Подчеркивании значения длительности действия, которое началось в прошлом и продолжается до настоящего времени)
We have been trying to find tickets for the concert for 3 weeks
