После глаголов love, like, dislike, hate, start, begin, continue, stop и некоторых
других может употребляться как инфинитив смыслового глагола, так и смысловой
глагол с окончанием -ing:
I love to watch / watching films at night.
He likes to play / playing football.
She hates to wash / washing the dishes.
They enjoy reading.
I am finishing reading this book.
to stop doing sth = not to continue an activity
to stop to do sth = to stop what you are doing in order to do sth
