Cattell was a laureate of the Darwin Society
Prize, received the Wenner Gren Award from the New
York Academy of Sciences, and the American Psychological Association's "Outstanding Work in the Field of Measurement" award. Cattell was the first president of the Society for Multivariate Experimental Psychology and, in recognition of his merits, was elected a full member of the British Psychological Society.
