City of Alexandria - a major cultural center of the Vladimir region, located near Sergiev Posad, in the heart of the Golden ring. Alexandrov is a town founded in the mid-fourteenth century and managed to preserve the many unique monuments of Russian architecture, which still attracts the gaze of tourists from all over Russia coming in Aleksandrov on the tour. History Alexandrov
The first mention of Aleksandrov refers to
1339. At that time there was a settlement, called
the Old (Great) settlement.
