Introduction
Knowing about English traditions is very useful for
the foreign language learners. Children try to feel the
culture of English speaking countries by means of different holydays and festivals. In this webquest we try to be the participants of one of the most important Festivals in the English speaking world. Halloween is a holiday celebrated on October 31.It is a time of celebration and superstition. It has roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holy day of All Saints' Day. The day is often associated with orange and black colours and with symbols such as the jack-o`-lantern, black cats and witches. Halloween most popular activities are dressing up in costumes of scary things of Halloween, playing trick-or -treat, visiting haunted houses, bonfires, carving pumpkins and costume parties. People decorate their houses with carved pumpkins, corn husks and scarecrows.
