Tyumen rapidly developed from a small military settlement to a large commercial and industrial city. The central district of Old Tyumen retains many historic buildings from throughout the city's history.

We are residents of Tyumen we are proud of the drama theater with its rich history and traditions. In our city there are many libraries, including one of the largest in Western Siberia the Tyumen regional scientific library of D. I. Mendeleyev, and also a set of theaters, museums, monuments and hotels.
