Born & raised in Israel
Doobie Sabbo was born in Jerusalem, and has over 17 years of professional tour experience. He knows just about every stone in Israel, and can help you see more, in the most efficient manner possible.
Better food options
Many guides simply take you to places where they receive kickbacks for bringing in customers. Doobie knows the best places to go that are off the regular tourist trail.
Premier
We focus on providing quality, premier tours that you will never forget. You'll see the places you won't see on the large tours.
Humor
Doobie means "teddy bear". He has a great sense of humor, which always helps lighten and ease the atmosphere when traveling. You'll see the lighter side of Israel as well.
Competitive pricing
For around the same price as most other tour guides, you can have the same excellent guide that celebrities and VIP's get - and see more of what you actually want to see.
Flexibility
You might wake up one morning and change your mind about what you want to see that day. No problem! Doobie realizes that this is your vacation and is happy to accommodate whatever you want to see and do!
Pricing Explained
The cost of living in Israel:
In Israel, the cost of living is about twice what it is in the USA. For example, a gallon of gas costs about $9. Taxes in Israel are about 50%.
Our rates are very competitive with other private tour guides. However, at the end of your tour, we know you'll agree that the experience was well worth the price!
Other potential costs:
Not included with your tour are any site entrance fees (depending on what we do on your tour), overnights, meals and tips.
Overnight fees for the guide may be added (hotel, B&B) when staying outside of Jerusalem.
How tipping works:
Tipping works differently in different countries, and we are often asked if it is customary to tip in Israel. The answer is yes.
Beyond that, we are are also asked about a fair amount to tip a guide. In general, 20% (or about $100/day) is considered a fair tip.
All tours are conducted by an Authorized driving guide.
