Judicial proceedings are conducted by a single judge, by

a panel of judges, or by acourt of the jury.
The main principles of judicial proceedings are:
equality before the law and the court of all participants in a trial;
ensuring that guilt is proved;
adversarial procedure and freedom of the parties to present their evidence tothe court and to prove the weight of evidence before the court;
prosecution by the prosecutor in court on behalf of the State;
ensuring the right of an accused person to a defense;
openness of a trial and its complete recording by technical means;

одноособово, колегією суддів чи судом присяжних.
Основними засадами судочинства є:
рівність

усіх учасників судового процесу перед законом і судом;
забезпечення доведеності вини;
змагальність сторін та свобода в наданні ними суду своїх доказів і у доведенні перед судом їх переконливості;
підтримання державного обвинувачення в суді прокурором;
забезпечення обвинуваченому права на захист;
гласність судового процесу та його повне фіксування технічними засобами;
забезпечення апеляційного та касаційного оскарження рішення суду, крім випадків, встановлених законом.

304. Additional examination or re-examination of a witness

Each party to the trial may ask the witness additional questions in order to clarify or supplementanswers given to questions of other persons.
Every witness may be additionally examined or re-examined in the presence of other witnesses who have been already examined during confrontation.

I live in on the third floor of an

apartment building on Park Alley, 8, ap.9. I live with my husband Vlad and my son Dima. We have an old English bulldog named Henry, I go for a walk with him to Park Alley at approximately 11.30 p.m. every night.
So I was going for a walk, as usual, with Henry late in the evening on May, 5. I was just getting Henry’s leash from the wardrobe in the hallway when I heard a strange sound coming from Park Alley. It was very loud and lasted for a few seconds. I heard it very well because the window of my bedroom faces the alley and it was open that night. I ran to the window quickly and looked through it, but I saw nothing strange or unusual. There are two lanterns on Park Alley - one is at the intersection of Park Alley and Holovna Str., and another one – close to our house. Their lightening is not bad, though many trees on Park Alley hinder them a little.

Алея, 8, кв.9. Живу я з чоловіком Владом та з сином Дімою. У нас є старий англійський бульдог Генрі, з яким я щовечора, близько 23.30, виходжу на прогулянку по Парковій Алеї.
Увечері 5 травня 2011 року я, як завжди, збиралася вигуляти Генрі. Я якраз діставала його нашийник із шафи в коридорі, коли почула дивний гуркіт зі сторони Паркової Алеї. Звук був дуже голосний і тривав кілька секунд. Чула я його добре, оскільки вікно моєї спальні виходить на Паркову Алею і того вечора вікно було відчинене. Я швидко підбігла до вікна і визирнула з нього, проте нічого підозрілого чи незвичного не помітила. На Парковій Алеї є два ліхтарі – один на розі Паркової Алеї та вул.Головної, інший – біля мого будинку. Вони досить непогано освітлюють вулицю, хоча їм трохи заважають дерева, яких дуже багато на Парковій Алеї.

Henry and went outside with him. I sat on

my knees at the stairs to put a leash on Henry when I saw a man running on Park Alley in my direction. He was of medium height, maybe even tall (can’t say exactly cause I was still sitting). He looked young. He was wearing sport pants, tennis shoes and pullover with a hood. He was wearing a hood so I couldn’t see his face very clearly, but still I had a feeling I knew this face. This man was carrying a dark bag. When he passed me he stopped at a trash can on Park Alley, took something out of the bag, put it into his inner pocket, threw the bag into the trash can and ran away.
The next morning when officer Polischuk came to me and told me what happened, I understood everything. I buy food at “The Family Store” from time to time so this news scared me a lot! When officer Polischuk showed me a photo of a young man with dark hair and asked me if that is who I saw yesterday, I recognized him! This guy is the one who was here last night. No doubt, it’s him!
