1685 mentioned Bobrovsky taxed Yurt; the name is connected with the existence in this place beaver fishery.In 1698 this Yurt there is a village Bobrovskaya Sloboda, unofficially also called village or even a city Bobrovsk. Originally here were moved service people, then the Palace of the peasants of Yaroslavl and Kostroma provinces.
In 1707 was built the Tsar's court with loopholes and three towers.
In 1708 it was sacked by the Bobrovskoe associates Bulavin.
In 1711 part of the inhabitants razed Azov was settled in Bobrov in a special settlement called the sea of Azov.
